Maiden uniteD's second full-length album "Across the Seventh Sea"

For All We Know

Last week Wudstik and me got together to work on some new music
for a second For All We Know album. It will probably take a long time
before it will be released but there will be a new album some day...

Ok, ok, ok... I've just finished doing 356 pushups as punishment for
not updating this site for the last months. My apologies.
(I'm about to do 647 situps as well...)

Anyways, I'll tell you what I've been up to lately;

Within Temptation

Since last august we've been touring around the world again. Sure felt pretty
weird the first time we hit a festival stage (Sziget in Budapest was our first one)
again after 4 years. But after a couple of songs we all had the feeling
we hadn't been away for so long. Great!!!
Since then we've been to the USA and Canada, pretty much the whole of Europe
and we just came back from Mexico and South America.
We're preparing ourselves for the theatertour that's gonna kick off next week

Maiden uniteD

Well, this project took us further than we had ever expected. Initially it was supposed
to be a project to celebrate the music of the band which got me into playing the guitar; Iron Maiden. And doing this while having a good laugh!
We're still having loads of fun but apparently more people seem to like it that we expected when we started this project.
We played some nice clubs in Holland but we also took it abroad and played the Download Festival (UK) and Wacken Open Air (Ger) and did some tours in the UK and Greece and Cyprus.
Next weekend we're going into the studio to record the drums for the second album.
The first album 'Mind the Acoustic Pieces' is still available through the Maiden uniteD website and on iTunes

For All We Know

Eventhough I've never done any live gigs with this other project of mine, the album is selling pretty well. I've done a second and a third pressing so that's great!
I'm thinking of doing a followup for this project as well. I hope I can find the time to start on it at the end of this year.

Other stuff

My good friend Kristoffer Gildenlöw is about to release his solo album 'RUST'. I've played some guitar on it and I'm very proud that he asked me. Check out the trailers on his website and facebook page

And don't forget to check out 'League of Lights'; a project by 'Threshold' keyboard player Richard West and his wife Farrah. On that album you'll hear Mark Zonder (Fates Warning/Chroma Key) play the drums, Jerry Meehan (Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music/Robbie Williams) on bass and me on guitar.

I've also played guitar on five tracks of Anneke van Giersbergen's latest album
'Everything is Changing'. What a brilliant album this is!!! She's going to tour Europe this spring so make sure to check her out if she's in neighborhood...

Today League of Lights is officially announced. It's a project by singer Farrah West
and keyboardplayer Richard West (Threshold).

On drums you'll hear Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Chroma Key), Jerry Meehan
(Robbie Williams, Bryan Ferry) on bass and yours truly on guitar.

We are confirmed for the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany for thursday august 4th
In april we're gonna be on the road again and in that month we're also gonna release the vinyl version of 'Mind the Acoustic Pieces'

Within Temptation

I've been doing a lot of promo this month for the new album. We did acoustic radiosessions in Birmingham, Paris, Halle a/d Saale, Brussels, Hilversum and Helsinki. In Germany we were surprised by a Golden award of the The Heart of Everything album. Since it's release it has sold more than 100.000 copies. Not bad for this time and age

For All We Know

April is going to be busy for Maiden uniteD but this month will also see the release of the For All We Know album. I've been working for quite a while on it and sometimes it seemed like it would never be finished but in april it will be released. On february 22nd the website will go online so there will be much more information revealed then. Keep an eye out for the website, myspace and facebookaccount...
